Exploiting Project work: Increase students' interest, motivation and participation in the class through the use ofprojects.
Presenter: Craig Wright (Sept. 3, 2006)
Students learn best when they create and do things with the language they have learned.
Use projects in your class and give your students a hands-on experience in English.
Project work--Learning through doing:
1.Research & collect information.
2.Draw pictures, maps, diagrams, and charts.
3.Cut out things.
4.Arrange text and visuals.
5.Color in.
6.Carry out interviews and surveys.
7.Interacting with each other.
For example, ‘My House’ (1) Design your dream house! or (2) Do your own house right now.
Design a can if you can! e.g., ‘Super Soda,’ ‘Monster Coke.’
